Explanation

Insulim consists of two short polypoptide chains : chain A and Chain B which are linked together called C peptide in pro enzyme and prohormone before it becomes a fully nature and funntional hormore. The C peptide in not present in the nature insulin and is removed during maturation into isulin.
Eli Lilly an American company prepared two DNA sequences corresponding to A and B , Chains of human insulin and introduced them to plastids of E.coil to produce separately , extracted and combined by creating disulphide bonds to from human insulin (humulin).
