How will you explain twinkling of stars?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Stars seem to be twikling due to refractinon of light coming from the stars while passing through earth.s atmosphere. Since earth.s atmosphere is not stationary light from the starts has to pass through fluctuating layers of the various layers of air changing conditions of temperature. As a result the apparent position of a star fluctuates, which gives rise to the twinkling effect of star.
