How will you show that elevation in boiling point is a colligative property?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

We know , elevation in boiling point ` Delta T_(b) = K_(b) m = K_(b) xx (n_(B))/(W_(A) (kg))`
`rArr Delta T_(b) alpha n_(B)`
Thus elevation in boiling point is directly proportional to number of moles of solute. Therefore , elevation in boiling point is a colligative property
