Sodium chloride solution freezes at lower temparature than water but boils at higher temparature than water . Explain.

Sodium chloride is a non - volatile solute. When a non volatile solute is dissolved in a solvent ,its vapour pressure decreases and as such its freezing point decreases and boiling point increases
