How do you account for the reducing behaviour of H3P02 on the basis of its structure ?

The structure of `H_2 PO_2` (hypophosphorus acid) is as shown in the Fig. The two hydrogen atoms bonded directly to phosphorus atom gives reducing character to `H_3 PO_2`. Due to the presence of only one P-OH bond, it is monobasic in nature.
