Describe the commerical uses of sulphuric acid.

In chemical industry. To manufacture HCI, `HNO_3, H_3 PO_4`, sulphates and bisulphates.
(ii) In fertilizer industry: To manufacture superphosphate, ammonium sulphate etc.
(ii) In petroleunm refining.
(iv) In the manufacture of explosives: A mixture of conc. `HNO_3` and conc. `H_2 SO_4` is used as nitrating mixture.
(v) In lead storage batteries
(vi) In pickling : For cleasing metal surface.
Due to its vast variety of uses it is rightly called "King of chemicals".
