Discuss the hydrolysis of `XeF_3`. Does the hydrolysis of `XeF_6` lead to a redox reaction ?

Hydrolysis of `XeF_6` is possible in three different ways
(a) Complete Hydrolysis.
`XeF_6 + 3H_2 O to XeO_3 + 6HF`
In this reaction oxidation state of Xe is + 6 in both reactants and products. Thus it is not a redox reactions.
(b) Partial Hydrolysis. It is possible in two different ways.
`XeF_6 + H_2 O to XeOF_4 + 2HF`
`XeF_6 + 2H_2 O to XeO_2 F_2 + 4HF`
In both these reaction O.S. of Xe remains +6 in both reactants and and Products. Thus these are also not redox reactions.
Therefore, hydralysis of Xe `F_6` is not a redox reaction.
