Explanation

(i) It came in force from 29 Drecember ,2003.
(ii) Indian parliament passed bill on biodiversity in December 2003,to protect India biodiversity and check biopiracy etc.
(iii) Government of India launched a biodiversity board in Chennai to ensure proper but legitimate use of biodiversity.
Chipko Andolan and Beej Bachao Andolan are other efforts.
