What are copolymers? Give the chemical equation for the preparation Dacron. Is it an addition or condensation polymer?

The polymers obtained by the condensation of two or more different monomers, are called copolymers. For example, bakelite, nylon - 66 etc. Terylene is obtained by heating terephthalic acid and glycol as follows:

It is fonned by the condensation polymerisation. Hence, it is a condensation polymer.
