Discuss briefly the effect of concentration on the rate of a reaction.

Except for a zero order reactions, the rate of a chemical reaction depends on the concentration of reactants and products. The representation of rate of reaction in terms of concentration of the reactant is known as rate law or rate equator or råte expression. However for a zero order reaction, the rate of reaction is independent of the concentration of reactants.
