How will you convert galvanometer into an ammeter? Why is an ammeter always connected in series?

Text Solution

An ammeter is a low resistance device. When it is connected in series, the resistance of circuit remains practically same and hence the curent. If ammeter is connected in parallel, then most of the current will pass through it an current in the main circuit will decrease.
