Define Fleming's right hand rule.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Stretch the right hand such that the first finger, the central finger and the thumb are mutually perpendicular, to each other. If t First finger points along the direction of magnetic field and the Thumb points along thie direction of the motion of the conductor, then the direction of induced e.m.f. and hence current will be along the direction of thes middle finger.
Direction of Field `rarr` along the first finger
Direction of Motion `rarr` along the thumb
Direction of induced e.m.f. or current `rarr` along the middle finger
