Illustration: When N pole is brought near a loop (figure below), counter clockwise current is praduced in the loop. From Righe hand cork screw rule this induced current produces a magnetie field which opposes the magnetic field ofthe bar magnet ie, nearer face of the loop as shown in figure behaves as Npols. North pole of the ioop will repel the bar magnet. Similarly south pole brought near the loop will make the nearer fnce of the loop Spole, once again repulsion wil be there.

From above, it is clear that inducèd emf produced due to electromagnetic induction always opposes thee cause which produces it.
