Agriculture is highly sensitive to environmental conditions and natural calamities, such as droughts, floods and severe storms. Human activities has already changed atmospheric characteristics such as temperature, rainfall patterns, level of carbon dioxide `(CO_2)` and ozone level. While food production may benefit from a warmer climate, the increased potential for droughts, floods and heat waves will pose challenges for farmers. Additionally, the enduring changes in climate, water supply and soil profile could make it less feasible to continue crop production in certain regions. Recent studies indicate that the increased heat stress, drought and floods negatively affect the crop yield and livestock beyond the tolerant level. Climate variability and changes also modify the risk of fires, pests and pathogen outbreak and negatively affect food, fibre and forestry. Agricultural studies have proved the effects of one or two environmental changes on a particular farming activity. Some studies also consider the full impact on crop production across the country.
