(i) If an atom contains one electron and one proton, will it carry any charge or not ?
(ii) On the basis of Thomson's model of an atom, explain how the atoms is electrically neutral.

(i) Number of protons = Number of electrons
Hence, there will be no charge i.e., atom is neutral .
(ii) The positive charge due to protons and negative charge due to electrosn balance each other.
Hence, atom becomes electrically neutral.
