The noble metals are metallic elements like silver, gold, platinum, iridium, palladium. These metals are caled noble metals because they are non-reactive and occur in free state in nature. They maintain their metallic lustre for a long time and do not get corroded. they remain unaffected by atmospheric air, moisture or common chemicals like acids and bases.
