What is cataract? How is it corrected?

Explanation

Sometimes, particularly in old age, eyesight becomes foggy due to which the eye lens becomes cloudy. This is called cataract in which sometimes there is severe loss of vision.
This defect can be treated by removing the opaque lens and inserting a new artificial lens in the eye.
