A

Benzene sulphonyl chloride

B

`CS_2` followed by `HgCl_2`

C

Baeyer's reagent

D

`NaNO_2` and HCI

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
A, B, D

Benzenesulphonyl chloride reacts with primary amine and forms N-alkylbenzene sulphonamide which is soluble in alkali, secondary amine forms N,N-dialkylbenzene sulphoamide which is insoluble in alkali. Primary amine forms a black ppt. with `CS_2//HgCl_2`. Secondary amine does not form any precipitate.
