An inductor of inductance `100 mH` is connected in series with a resistance, a variable capacitance and an `AC` source of frequency `2.0 kHz`. What should be the value of the capacitance so that maximum current may be drawn into the circuit?

This is an `LCR` series circuit. The current will be maximum when the net reactance is zero. For this,
`1/(omegaC) = omegaL`
or, `C = 1/(omega^2 L) = 1/(4pi^2 xx (2.0 xx 10^3 s^(-1))^2 (0.1 H))`
`= 63 nF`.
