When the plate voltage applied to a diod...

When the plate voltage applied to a diode value is changed from `40 V` to `42 V`, the plate current increases from `50 mA to 60 mA`. Calculate the dynamic plate resistance at the operating condition.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Here `DeltaV_p = 42 V - 40 V = 2 V`
and `Deltai_p = 60 mA - 50 mA = 10 mA`.
Thus, the dynamic plate resistance is
`r_p = (DeltaV_p)/(Deltai_p) = (2 V)/(10 mA) = 200 Omega`.
