There are multiple factors that drive the wild animals to leave the forest areas and venture into human habitats. The primary reason for the animals to stray into nearby human settlements is food. More often than not, the animals enter the human dominated areas in search of food. Inadequate food resources in forest areas drive these animals out of their habitats. They attack livestock and damage crops of the inhabitants. Human encroachments near forest areas lead to excessive usage of water resources and pollution of water bodies in forest areas. Hence the animals move away from the dense forest in search of water and end up in human settlements. Massive deforestation has resulted in shrinking of forest covers. Consequently, the animals lose their habitant and set out in search of new habitat and enter human areas by accident.
