How potential difference across the axol...

How potential difference across the axolemma is maintained during leakage channels.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`K^+` leakage channels are more in number than the `Na^+` leakage channels. Sarcolemma has greater permeability to `K^+` ions than `Na^+` ions. These ions keep moving continuously maintain the potential differnece across the axolemma.
