Find (dy)/(dx) if y=(2x+1)(3x^2-1)^3...

Find (dy)/(dx) if
`y=(2x+1)(3x^2-1)^3`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`y=(2x+1)(3x^2-1)^3`
`therefore dy/dx=(2x+1)d/dx(3x^2-1)^3+(3x^2-1)^3d/dx(2x+1)`
`=(2x+1).3(3x^2-1)^2d/dx(3x^2-1)+(3x^2-1)^3.2`
`=3(3x+1)(3x^2-1)^2(6x)+2(3x^2-1)^3`
`=18x(2x+1)(3x^2-1)^2+2(3x^2-1)^3`
