Find dy/dx if
`sinx=(2t)/(1+t^2), cos y=(1-t^2)/(1+t)^2`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given, `sinx=(2t)/(1+t^2), cosy=(1-t^2)/(1+t^2)`
`thereforecosx.dx/dt=(2(1+t^2)-4t^2)/((1+t^2)^2)=(2(1-t^2))/((1+t^2)^2)`
`-siny.dy/dt=(-2t(1+t^2)-2t(1-t^2))/((1+t^2)^2)=(-4t)/((1+t^2)^2)`
`thereforedy/dx=(2t)/(1-t^2).cosx/siny=(2t)/(1-t^2).(1-t^2)/(2t)=1`
