In case of a bipolar transistor the
potential drop across the collector
resistance of 500 `Omega` is 4.5 V and `beta=200` . Find the base current ( in `mu A`) in the transistor.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
`45.00`

`beta=200`
`therefore (I_(c))/(I_(B))=200`
`V=I_(C)R_(C)`
`therefore 4.5 = I_(C) xx 500`
`therefore I_(C)=(4.5)/(500)=9 xx 10^(-3)A`
`therefore I_(B)=(I_(C))/(200)=(9 xx 10^(-3))/(200)`
`= 4.5 xx 10^(-5)A=45 mu A`
