Total resistance of the circuit:...

Total resistance of the circuit:

A

`10 Omega`

B

`20 Omega`

C

`5 Omega`

D

`15 Omega`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
A

Total emf of the circuit is `E = E_(1) - E_(2) = 12 V`.
As the resistance are in parallel combination
`(1)/(R) = (1)/(12) + (1)/(6) + (1)/(4) = (1)/(2)`
or `R. = 2 Omega`
`therefore` Total resistance will be `R = R. + r_(1) + r_(2) = 10 Omega`.
