Sandmeyer reaction : The diazonium group of a diazonium salt can be replaced by chlorine (CI) or bromine (-Br) by heating the aqueous solution of the diazonium salt with. cuprous chloride or cuprous bromide. This reaction is called Sandmeyer reaction.
