State Faraday's first law of electrolysis.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Faraday.s first law: The amount of chemical reaction which occurs at any electrode during electrolysis.is proportional to the quantity of current passing through the electrolyte (solution of melt):
Faraday.s second law : The amounts of different substances liberated, when the same quantity of current is passing through the electrolyte solutions are proportional to their chemical equivalent weight (Atomic mass of metal `div` number of electrons required to reduce the cation)
