Suppose the atoms N in the ccp = n No. of tetrahedral voids. = 2n .
As ` 1/3` rd of the tetrahderal voids are occupied by atom M, therefore, no. of atoms M ` = (2n)/3`
Ratio of M : N `= (2n)/3 : n = 2:3` Hence , the formula is ` M_(2)N_(3)`
