Reduce the equation of the plane 2x-3y+z...

Reduce the equation of the plane `2x-3y+z=6` to intercept from and find its intercepts on the coordinates axes.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

We have,
`2x-3y+z=6 rArr (2x)/6 -(3y)/6+z/6=1 rArr x/3+y/-2+z/6=1`.
Hence, the equation of the given plane in intercept form is `x/3+y/-2+z/6=1`.
The intercepts of the given plane on x-axis and z-axis are `3,-2` and 6 respectively.
