A hall has 10 gates. In how many ways can a man enter the hall through one gate and come out through a different gate ?

Since, there are 10 ways of entering into the hall, Therefore after entering into the hall, the man come out through a different gate in 9 ways.
hence , by the fundametal principle of multiplication, total number of ways is `10xx9=90` ways.
