Why is solubility of `MgCl_(2)` much greater than that of `MgF_(2)` ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`Cl^(-)` ions are much larger is size that `F^(-)` ions . Therefore , lattice enthalpy of `MgCl_(2)` is much smaller than
