Reaction between ethyl acetate and water...

Reaction between ethyl acetate and water attains a state of equilibrium in an open vessel but not the decomposition of `CaCO_(3).` Explain.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Acetic acid and ethyl alchol are liquids and their products, ethyl and water, are also liquids but one of the products of decomposition of `CaCO_(3)` is gaseous `(CO_(2))`which escape out and the reverse reaction connot occur.
