If P(p), Q(q), `R(r)` and S(s) be four points such that 3p+8q=6r+5s` then the lines PQ and RS are

A

skew

B

intesectiong

C

parallel

D

None of these

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

Given, 3p+8q=6r+5
`rArr" "(3p+8q)/(8+3)=(6r+5s)/(5+6)`
The point which divides PQ in the ratio 8:3 is the same as point which divides RS in the ratio 5:1. Hence, the line PQ and RS intersect
