Moment of inertia of a body depends on the distribution of the mass of the body about an axis of rotation and, therefore, changes with the choice of the rotation axis. Hence, unlike the mass of a body, which is constant, moment of inertia of a body, which is constant, moment of inertia of body is not constant.
