What is the interpretation of Bohr's stationary orbit's in terms of the Broglie wavelength of the electron in that orbit ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Bohr's stationary orbit can be interpreted as one which can accommodate integral number of de Broglie wavelength of the electron in that orbit. In such a case, the associated matter wave will be in phase with itself and contructive interference will allow a standing wave along the orbit.
