1. The two phases of photosynthesis, i.e. light phase (light reaction) and dark phase (dark reaction i.e. biosynthetic phase ) are iterdependent.
2. during light phase of photosynthesis ATP and `NADPH_(2)` which possess assimilatory power are required for the reduction of `CO_(2)` to glucose, are produced.
3. During dard phase of photosynthesis, ADP, ip and NADP which are regenerated are necessary for the synthesis of ATP and `NADPH_(2)` during light phase of photosynthesis.
4. The products of light reaction namely ATP and `NADPH_(2)` are utilized in dark reactions where `CO_(2)` is fixed.
This shows that the two phases are interdependent.
