Different ways of solid waste management are practised by The Department of Waste Management of local Municipal bodies. These are as follows:
1. Open burning dumps to burn the garbage and reduce its volume.
2. Own dumps for storing the garbage.
3. Sanitary landfills of dump the wastes in a trench or depression after compacting the waste and covering it with soil every day.
