Find the length of an arc of a circle of radius 5 cam subtending a central angle measuring `15^0dot`

A

`5pi//12cm`

B

`7pi//12cm`

C

`pi//12cm`

D

`pi//5cm`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
A

We know length of arc of a circle `=2pir(theta)/(360)`
where 'r' is the radius and `theta` is the central angle . So , `r=5, theta=15^(@)`
`therefore"Length"=2pixx5xx(15^(@))/(360^(@))=(5pi)/(12)`cm
