The angle subtended at the centre of a circle of radius 3 cm by an arc of lenhgth 1 cm is :

A

`(30^(@))/(pi)`

B

`(60^(@))/(pi)`

C

`60^(@)`

D

None of the above

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

Let `theta` be required angle
`thereforetheta=(arc)/("radius")=(1)/(3)` radians
Now , 1 radian `=(180^(@))/(pi)`
`therefore(1)/(3)" radian" =(180^(@))/(pi)xx(1)/(3)=(60^(@))/(pi)`
Hence , Required angle `=theta=(60^(@))/(pi)`
