State Hook's low. Define elastic limit and modulus of elasticity.

Hook's Law : Hooke's law states that, if the elastic limit is not exceeded the deformation of a material is proportional to the force applied to it.
Thus, Stress `prop` Strain (Upto elastic limit of the material)
`"Constant (E)"=("Stress")/("Strain")`
Elastic limit : The maximum value of stress upto whcih stress is directly proportional to strain or Hooke's law is valid is called elastic limit.
Modulus of Elasticity : Modulus of elasticity of material is the ratio of stress applied to the material to the corresponding strain developed in the same material.
