Reflection of Transverse wave from Denser Medium :

1. Particle's velocity is reversed due to equal and opposite reaction
2. Wave velocity is also reversed.
3. The phase charge of `pi` radian is produced
4. Crest is reflected as trough and trough is relflected as crest.
Relflection of Transverse wave from rarer medium :

1. Particle's velocity is not reversed.
2. Wave velocity is reversed.
3. No change of phase takes place.
4. Crest is reflected as crest and trough is reflected as a trough.
Reflection of Longitudinal wave from Denser Medium :

1. Particle's velocity is reversed, due to force of reflection.
2. Wave velocity of reversed i.e., away from the surface of denser medium.
3.Phase change of `pi` radian is produced.
4. Compression is reflected as compression and rarefaction is reflection as rarefaction.
Reflection of Longitudinal wave from Rarer medium :

1. Pparticle velocity is not reversed.
2. Wave velocity is reversed.
3. No change of phase is produced.
4. Compression is relfected as rarefaction and rarefaction is reflected as compression.
