Positive deviation from Raoult's law: A mixture of ethanol and cyclohexane shows positive deviation. When pure ethanol is added to cyclohexane the molecules of ethnol which results in the breaking of hydrogen bonds and thus positive deviation.

Negative devaition from Raoult's law : A mixture of chloroform and acetone shows negative deviation. When these are mixed, hydrogen bond is formed and negative deviation is shown:
