If the system is not in free fall, which of the following, statements are true about hydrostatic pressure?

A

In a liquid, points at different depths can never be at the same pressure.

B

In a liquid, points at different depths may be at the same pressure.

C

In different liquids, points at different depths can be at the same pressure.

D

In different liquids, points at the same depth can never be at same pressure.

The correct Answer is:
A, C, D

If the system is not in the state of free fall, pressure at any point in a liquid depends on its depth `h` w.r.t its ree surface.
`P=P_(0)+hdg`
i.e, pressure is difference at points lying in different depths in the liquid. In different liquids (i.e., density `d` is different ) points at the same dept `h` will be at different pressues. but points lying at differentt depths in different liqids can be at the same pressure if
`h_(1)d_(1)=h_(2)d_(2)`.............
