Take a rod A'B' and fix it at such a position that

From Fig 1(c ) 6, `tan theta = (A'B')/(CB')= (AB)/(CB)`
`:. AB = (A'B'xxCB)/(CB)`
Measuring A' B', CB' and CB, we can calculate
height AB of the tree.
