Assertion: An aircraft files along the meridian, the potential at the ends of its wings will be the same.
Reason: whenever there is change in the magnetic flux e.m.f. induces.

A

If both asseration and reason are true and reason is the correct explanation of assertion.

B

If both asseration and reason are true but reason is not the correct explanation of assertion.

C

If assertion is true but reason is false.

D

If assertion is false but reason is true.

The correct Answer is:
D

As the aircraft files, magnetic flux changes through its wings due to the verticle component of the earth's magnetic field. Due to this, induced emf is produced across the wings of the auircraft. Therefore, the wings of the aircraft will not be at the same potential.

Does chanbe in magnetic flux induce e.m.f. or current ?

Assertion (A) : An alternator is machine which converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. Reason (R) : When a coil rotates in a magnetic field an e.m.f. is induced in it.

Show that the rate of change of magnetic flux has the same units as induced e.m.f.

Assertion (A): Lenz's law does not violets the principle of conservation of energy. Reason (R): Induce e.m.f. never opposes the change in magnetic flux that causes the e.m.f.

To induce an e.m.f. in a coil, the linking magnetic flux

Assertion :- Whenever magnetic flux linked with the coil changes with respect to time, then an emf is induced in ti . Reason :- According to law , the direction of induced current in any coil in such a way that it always oposses the cause by which it is produced.

Asseration: The induced emf in a conducting loop of wire will be non zero when it rotates in a uniform magnetic field. Reason: The emf is induced due to change in magnetic flux.
