Two particles execute SHMs of the same amplitude and frequency along the same straight ling. They cross one another when going in opposite direction. What is th ephase difference between them when their displacements are half of their amplitudes ?

Let A be the amplitude and `omega` be the angular frequency of each particle in SHM. The displacement of a particle in SHM is
`y=Asin(omegat+phi_(0))`
When displacement is half of the amplitude,i.e.,
`y=A//2` ,
then `A//2=A sin (omegat+phi_(0))`
or `sin(omegat+phi_(0))=1//2 or (omegat+phi_(0))=30^(@)or 150^(@)`
As the two particles are goinig in opposite directions hence phase of one particel ois `30^(@)` and of another aprticle is `150^(@)`.
