Why do clouds generally look white ?

Explanation

The clouds are at much lower height. They are seen by light scattered from lower parts of atmosphere containing dust particles, ice particles, water dropletes etc. As size of scatter gt gt wavelength of light, all colours are scattered equally nearly. They merge to give us the sensation of white.
