Reaction of secondary amine with benzenesulphony1 chloride yields N,N- dialkylbenzenesulphonamide

Since N,N-dialkylbenzenesulphonamide does not contain any hydrogen atom bonded to nitrogen atom it is not acidic and hence insoluble in alkali .
