Verify whether the indicated numbers a...

Verify whether the indicated numbers are zeros of the polynomials corresponding to them in that cases: `f(x)=x^2-1,\ x=1,\ -1`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`=>i) x=1 , f(x)=(1)^2-1=0`
`=>ii)x=-1, f(x)=(-1)^2-1=0`
Since , the results when x = 1 and x = -1 are 0, so (1 , -1) are the roots of the polynomial `f(x) = x2 – 1`.
